Sektorenkopplung ist ein zentrales Element der Energiewende. Photovoltaik und Windkraftanlagen liefern heute kostengünstige, saubere Energie für den Stromsektor. In den Bereichen Mobilität, Wärme, Kälte und Chemie fehlen hingegen überzeugende Lösungen für den Ersatz fossiler Rohstoffe durch umweltfreundliche und saubere Gase und Kraftstoffe. Ziel ist es, Schritt für Schritt die Nutzung fossiler Rohstoffe abzulösen.
